ASRC Federal Holding Company Electrical Technician 3/Electrician in Edwards AFB, California

ASRC Federal Space and Defense is seeking a Electrical Technician/Electrician to join our team in Edwards AFB, CA.

ASRC Federal Space and Defense brings a long history of delivering high-performance space systems engineering, integration and satellite operations services to civil and defense agencies. ASRC Federal Space and Defense provides these services throughout all phases of the program life cycle and across the entire space systems architecture, including space and ground assets.

Key Role:

Support electrical work at Area 1-42 at the Air Force Research Facility (AFRL). Main support will be within the Steam plant and B-Cell test area. Support can be to all other sites at the AFRL. The Candidate must be familiar with the State, Federal and Air Force regulations regarding electrical safety.

Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.

Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to switch tasks at a moment's notice and walk through the safety analysis before starting the new task.

Perform troubleshooting on Electrical and Instrumentation systems.

Provide feedback to AS and D Site Supervisor or designated alternate.

Follow Work Authorizations to installing or repair electrical systems. Then provide information on the completed work to an engineer for Configuration Management documentation.

Assist the customer work crew in performing mechanic duties.

Must be able to gain access to the customer's computer networks.

Must have technological skills proven by verifiable and specific work experience or technical publication.

Must have ability to work within schedule and budget restraints.

Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.

Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 YEARS OF Electrical BACKGROUND.

  • Experience with MS Office and database/data entry computer experience.

Demonstrated ability in:

  • Electrical Safety

  • Valid state vehicle operator's license.

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a final security clearance at the SECRET level.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Forklift License up to 10K.

  • Work overtime with little notification.
