ASRC Federal Holding Company Facility Maintenance Technician / Engineering Technician III in Edwards AFB, California

ASRC Federal Space and Defense is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team in Edwards AFB, CA.

  • Maintain test area in accordance with customer regulations and requirements. Ensure test components are in compliance, all plans and programs are being maintained.


  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on valves and components for the customer's work area. Must be able to safely remove the equipment from service and submit it for Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI).

  • Assist the customer work crew in performing mechanic duties.

  • Must be able to gain access to the customer's computer networks.

  • Must be able to assist with Facility duties as required.

  • Must be able to assist with Weapons Management duties as required.

  • Must be able to serve as the Initial Accumulation Point (IAP) Manager and ensure all Hazardous Material and Hazardous Waste is managed properly.

  • Must maintain a Hazardous Material Inventory and ensure all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are up to date and current.

  • Maintain the Area's Safety documentation and ensure all personnel are current with training.

  • Provide information to the Customer when personnel are 30 days out from needing required training. Provide follow-up to ensure the training occurs.

  • Obtain and maintain access to the technical orders and publications.

  • Ensure site visitor requirements are being followed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires 5+ years of related experience.

  • 3 years of mechanical background.

  • Experience with MS Office and database/data entry computer experience.

Demonstrated ability in:

  • AFRL TMDE/PMI Database.

  • Knowledge of Military Technical Order management desired.

  • Valid state vehicle operator's license.

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a final security clearance at the SECRET level.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Forklift License up to 10K.

  • Work overtime with little notification.
