Who You Are
TSC is seeking a first rate, qualified Materials Handler to play a role in facilitating the movement of the equipment and supplies necessary to establish and operate the world’s first commercial manned spacecraft production company. The Material Handler will use computerized inventory tracking of controlled stores and consumable inventory movement activities in the stock room, kitting of materials and consumables for production, ensuring efficient quantities of materials on hand for production, and deliveries to internal stakeholders. Candidate’s duties will also include processing incoming paperwork ,incoming inspection of receivables, verification of proper certification, verifying receipt count of shipments, internal material movements, replenishments of POU racks and tool crib duties as required.
Ideal candidates should have a work history that demonstrates their ability to successfully work in an environment that requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, have excellent computer skills, have good customer service skills, and have prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Maintain accurate inventory, performing cycle counting, and physical inventory of stock. Perform accurate transactions in ERP system for issuing materials to appropriate cost centers /projects & ensuring proper authorization is received for high cost materials. Perform regular cycle counting and investigate discrepancies over a threshold level.
Receive and locate materials into stockroom. Deliver stockroom materials to internal business partners.
Keep stockroom organized. Ensure compliance of stockroom procedures in handling/stocking
Responsible for inbound receiving. Accurately receive all inbound deliveries into ERP System and maintain records of all receipts in compliance with TSC requirements. Verify all incoming documentation and applicable certifications are correct. Responsible for timely delivery of all packages that include stock and non-stock items. Interact with internal stakeholders to resolve errors and inconsistencies in shipment files.
Ensure inventory is properly stored as instructed by Manufacturing, Engineering or Material Specifications. Ensure inventory, Hazmat SDS and not for flight labels/tags are affixed on all items prior to placing into inventory. Ensure Hazmat and temperature controlled areas are maintained according to material specs. Maintain current warehouse configuration. All changes to configuration of the stockroom must be approved by supervisor/lead. Ensure all material is handled and stored properly.
Work cohesively with Procurement and Production Control personnel to ensure on-time delivery of material and products to meet customer needs. Ongoing improvement of processes for receiving, kitting, and cycle counting. Assist other team members on projects as needed.
Accurately pick/kit material components supporting production work order builds. Responsible for on-time delivery of all kits & material components to internal & external manufacturing locations. Ensure materials are counted back accurately when returned from production, scrap is charged to the production order and materials are returned to stock.
Train other material handlers as necessary.
Experience in high technology, advanced materials or aerospace industries preferred
Good written/verbal communication skills
Strong experience with material movement and computerized inventory management (Oracle preferred)
Familiar with working with freight delivery companies (FedEx, UPS, trucking companies, door to door expedited delivery companies, etc) and significant experience in shipping
Physically able to unpack, pack, lift, and transport boxed items weighing up to 50 pounds
Able to operate a manual pallet jack and move loaded skids weighing up to 200 pounds
Able to operate a lift truck is a plus, but not a requirement - training will be provided
Familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Familiar with use of e-mail, including sending attachments
Knowledge of EAR and ITAR requirements for international shipments is a plus

High school diploma or equivalent.
