This position is for an Airframe Designer for the Low Boom Flight Demonstrator. The focus of this position is on aircraft structural design. Tasks may include detail modeling, layouts and detail drawings using CATIA V5, participating in trade studies, creating and maintaining ICDs (interface control documents), and coordination with subcontractors and other Integrated Product Teams.

Must be a US Citizen, position is located at a facility that requires special access. Selected applicant does not require a clearance to start, but will be required to obtain a secret clearance after starting.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in an Engineering Technical Discipline

CAD Experience

Experience creating and/or modifying drawings

Desired skills

CATIA V5 experience

GD&T knowledge

Airframe Layout and/or Detail Design

Experience with composite and/or metallic fabrication

Excellent writing and communication skills

3 or more years experience in aerospace design
