Lockheed Martin Subcontract Terms Negotiator Staff in Palmdale, California
Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics team as a Supply Chain Contracts Analyst where you will be greatly involved with the support for Supply Chain Management purchasing professionals in resolving supplier exceptions to contract terms and conditions. You will be coordinating reviews with affected stake holders and support negotiations with subcontractors. Additionally you will structure subcontracts to provide incentives to suppliers and ensure alignment with prime contract requirements. You will participate in the development and publication of prime contract specific clauses for use in subcontracts as well as draft unique clauses. It is important for the business that you create and maintain policy, procedures and communication to improve format, clarity and quality of purchase order terms and conditions. You will develop and provide training on various topics including Government contracting, general terms and conditions, and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). Basic Qualifications • Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. • Bachelor’s or more advanced degree from an accredited college or university • Experience in contract administration and negotiations
Desired skills • Law Degree Strongly Desired • Experience in Federal procurement law and the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) • Detailed knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and the Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement. • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written, verbal and presentation), organizational and analytical skills • Knowledge of LM CorpDocs • Contract negotiation experience • Ability to analyze and resolve supplier exceptions to Lockheed Martin's standard terms and conditions • Demonstrated ability to assess various contracting alternatives for compliance with the Federal regulations, prime contract requirements and company policies and procedures. • Proven ability to work independently • Demonstrate sound judgment and tact • Highly motivated and self-directed
